John Miller Stephany

John Miller-StephanyJohn Miller-Stephany is the Associate Artistic Director and Head of Casting for the Guthrie Theater. John has directed ten productions for the Guthrie as well as assisting with the casting for all Guthrie production in the past 10 years. He has directed for other Minnesota theatres, including Mixed Blood, History Theatre Theatre L’Homme Dieu and for The Acting Company in New York.

    Hello,

    My name is Maggie Hall and I am a graduate student at the university of North Carolina School of the Arts in the sound design program. I am writing my thesis on how theaters collect information on audience response and I was wondering if you had the time to answer some questions so that I could use the information in my thesis. Part of what I am curious to find out is if the information on what an audience likes or dislikes is made available to the designers at your theater. The interview would take between 8-10 min.
